Information about the project

Master Glass Vidrala Design Contest, is launched as a design contest aimed at the design of glass packaging. There is no limit to the number of projects that can be entered, within three categories:

  • Bottle: Wine, Cava, Champagne, Sparkling Wine, Cider, Water, Spirits…
  • Small bottle: Beer, Soft drinks, Juice, Water, Dairy products…
  • Jar: Preserves, Sauces…

The organisation does not specify any further characteristics as to the uses of the product to be designed, leaving creativity entirely open.

Each item submitted must be accompanied by a label design and the container must be submitted filled with the product it contains (it must not be empty). In addition, original ideas for alternative and functional closures, lids and caps will be positively received.

Proposals that may be feasible for production, according to the characteristics shown in the following link, will be viewed favourably, although the organisation does not consider this to be a determining factor in the final decision.

Awards will be given for innovation in all aspects, both visual and functional, as well as for feasibility and sustainability. The design must be original, innovative and distinctive, responding to the needs of customers and end users.

The project shall consist of a graphic visualisation and a descriptive report explaining the details of the proposal submitted. Furthermore, each project must be accompanied by a descriptive title that evokes and conveys its essence.

The projects shall be submitted in PDF format, in DIN A3 landscape size, with a 300 ppi resolution. Up to five pages may be submitted to ensure a proper understanding. All pages shall be identified solely and exclusively with the project title.
